  Our New Sign Memorial Day and Flag Day Memorial Day was Monday May 25th. New Carlisle honored our Fallen Comrades on Saturday May 23rd. We had a Memorial Day Walk and Ceremony at the cemetery with a 21 Gun Salute. I hope you were able to be there. I would like to thank all that participated and a special thanks to Bob Bender for organizing the event. Check out the pictures here. Memorial Day 2009. Flag Day is June 14th. The Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony was held on June 14th, Flag Day. This was one of the biggest Flag Retirement Ceremonies in the Country with an estimated 7,000 or more American Flags retired this year. I will be putting pictures on the website as soon as I can. The elections are over and we would like to thank and welcome all the new officers. We would also like to thank all of you that are returning officers. I have updated the list of officers. Check it out on the Officers Page. I have not received an updated list of officers for the 8/40 and the 40/8. Let me know if there is any correction that need to be made to the lists. I have been getting some great responses. We Will Not Have A Plain Old Steak Fry Anymore! Come To The New "Steak And Shrimp Dinner" Presented By: The Sons of The American Legion Squadron 286 (There will be no Steak and Shrimp Dinner in June or July.) The SAL and other volunteers would like to invite you, your friends and your family to our Steak and Shrimp Dinner. 5:00-7:00 pm on Saturday August 22nd. We are offering better food and more options at great prices. Have a Steak and Shrimp Dinner Have a Steak Dinner Have a Shrimp Dinner Have a Hamburger or CheeseBurger Dinner Get a $1.00 off when you bring in a coupon from the Newsletter or say you seen it here on the website. Memorial Day   Adopt-A-Highway Thanks to the volunteers of the Adopt-A-Highway program. Thanks to Patti Gorman for running this! Check out the "Picture Gallery" for more pictures! Post Activities There is always something going on at the Post. The Fish Fry on the 2nd Friday of most months. The New Steak and Shrimp Dinner is on the 4th Saturday of most months. Meetings and Horseshoes are on Tuesdays, Cornhole on Wednesdays. Also Euchre on Thursdays. There is Pool Tournaments on Fridays We have Entertainment on Most Saturdays, Bands and Karaoke. Don't forget put it on your calendar. Come on out and join the fun and support your Post. Our New Website. The Buttons/Links to the left takes you other parts of this website known as pages. Some of the pages are complete, but may be ever changing like the "Post Activities" page. Other pages have been built but are waiting for content to be added. I need your input, I need to know what should be on these pages.
